Historical center of Levoča
Beautiful historical center - a relaxing place for families, definitely worth visiting.
Levoča is a historical town located in eastern Slovakia. With a rich heritage and a preserved medieval atmosphere, it is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved historical towns in the country. The town is famous for its stunning historical architecture.
Levoča boasts 3 major monuments:
st. James Basilica
The largest sacral building in Spiš, which impresses visitors mainly with its rich interior equipment, which includes not only the main altar of St. James from the workshop of Master Paul, but also a collection of other church altars from various artistic styles.

Church of Visitation of the Virgin Mary
Above the town rises Mariánska hora, which is one of the oldest pilgrimage sites in Slovakia. Originally, a chapel was built here in 1247, from which the current neo-Gothic Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary emerged after several reconstructions.

The city Theater
The city theater on the Levoča square is an ideal choice for everyone who likes to spend an evening in beautiful historical spaces and pleasant moments in the company of art and culture.
